Youth Ministry

Program

The Youth Group at St Mary provides a place for teens in 6th-12th grade to find their place in their Roman Catholic community, to get answers to questions about their faith, and most importantly, to experience Jesus Christ in a real and profound way. With an emphasis on the Sacraments, Mary, & the Saints,

Through prayer, engaging talks, games and activities, small group time, and more, youth will grow in their Roman Catholic Faith.

Encounter

Experience the Bible like never before. Encounter: The Bible Timeline for Middle School is designed to bring the Bible to life for your young teen, introducing them to the captivating characters and themes that weave together salvation history—the story of the family of God. This program features dynamic presenters, engaging materials, video presentations, and easy-to-understand resources that make this Scripture study fun and unique. Join us for Encounter:  For more information or to register for the study, email dre@stmarylowell.org.

Theology Of the body

Teens and parents! We are excited to announce a dynamic program offered at St. Mary. YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body presents teenagers with a vision of who they are: a unique, unrepeatable creation of God. This program offers teens an opportunity to hear from respected Catholic leaders about life, sexuality, and what it means to be a person created by God for love. If you or your teens are interested in attending, please contact Jennie Forney at dre@stmarylowell.org

Ignite

We are an organization empowering teenagers to fall in love with the beauty of Christ and His Church, and to live their lives as a reflection of that love in their world.

We believe:

  • Youth can understand the faith.
  • A small group is the most effective form of group evangelization.
  • Growth and community build lifelong disciples.
  • Powerful ministry happens before, during, and after confirmation.
  • Tools should adapt to the parish, not a parish to the tools.

To that end, we strive to provide the most effective resources and support for those who interact with youth to share the truth and beauty of the faith through methods and models that shares primary resources, promotes organic conversation, and speaks the truth with tact but without apology.
